CLINICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PATIENTS WITH HEART FAILURE IN COMBINATION WITH CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE

Abstract

Epidemiological data reflect the prevalence of kidney damage in chronic heart failure (CHF), which varies from 25 to 60%. A decrease in glomerular filtration rate is considered as a predictor of an unfavorable prognosis of heart failure: with a reduced left ventricular ejection fraction, the risk of death increases by 3.8 times, with a preserved one — by 2.9 times.
