GAPS IN THE LANGUAGE LEXICON: IDENTIFICATION AND FILLING

Abstract

This article discusses the identification and filling of gaps in the language lexicon. It is shown that meeting and filling of lexical gaps is a natural state during language development. By filling and eliminating lexical gaps, the continuous development of the language track is ensured. The article also provides a methodology for identifying and filling the heads in the lexical system of the language. Using this methodology for the Uzbek language, relevant results were obtained and the universality of this methodology was shown. Appropriate recommendations on effective use of language lexicon through systematic management of language lexicon are given in this article.
